P-38 is not a trail in Gatineau Park! It's the law governing the protection of people whose mental state presents a danger to themselves or to others. This law allows for the temporary deprivation of a person's liberty if their mental state presents a danger to themselves or others.
Catherine Levasseur-Terrien has had personal experience of this law. Through interviews, testimonials and poetic texts, she takes a forensic and sociological look at this commonly used but little-known practice.
Created in collaboration with sound designer Pierre-Luc Clément and DAÏMÔN, this documentary sound work will be broadcast on Radio-Hull on September 17th, 2024 at 7:00 PM.
