The Radio-Hull festival team invites families to join us for a weekend of fun and interactive musical activities on September 13 and 14: Radio-Famille! Come to La Filature at 80 Hanson Street for two days of fun sound discoveries, featuring entertainment, a noisemaking workshop, an interactive youth show, and delicious drinks and snacks to fuel your creative energy.
Discover the hidden musical power of everyday objects on Saturday, September 13, starting at 1 p.m. with Noisemaker Families. Join the Radio-Hull family of sound makers with your musical instruments, pots, pans, or spoons, and let the symphony of our big band dazzle your ears in person and on radio.
Come back on Sunday, September 14, starting at 1 p.m. to experience Pouet! which will delight the ears and senses of the whole family with a concert-theater featuring the duo Ék, two trumpet-playing mimes who communicate solely through noise and gibberish. Unconventional instruments, sound effects, and improvisation make Pouet! an innovative sensory adventure, where music emerges from objects and the body, revealing the wonder hidden in the ordinary. A journey from sound to music!
Both events are scheduled to take place outdoors in La Filature's backyard, but will be moved indoors in case of rain. Rain or shine, we look forward to seeing you there!
