This project is built around a series of field recordings made of a forest stream in Mulgrave, QC, recorded in February of 2024. It features acoustic and electric instruments played in conversation with the stream recordings, focused on improvisation. The pieces also includes rhythmic elements stemming from recordings made in the ancient medina in Fez, Morocco (Feb 2025), of a craftsman methodically hammering out a pot in the streets. It also explores the use of echoes across a lake, recording vocal parts on the water, blending the sound with the echoing hills and natural sounds of the environment.

Stream Day is a Jamieson MacKay creative project.
