Elaheh Khaki is a musician and researcher based in Ottawa, drawn to the interplay of words, sounds, and images. As a master’s student in musicology at McGill University, her research explores how meaning is constructed in contemporary fusion songs through metaphor, symbolism, and intertextuality.
A pianist and improviser with a deep interest in songwriting, she also works in abstract visual art, which has been her first language of expression since childhood.
Across forms, she traces hidden connections and emotional undercurrents, crafting work that resists fixed meaning, follows a non-linear narrative, and invites reflection.
