Mana Rouholamini explores notions of identity, the meaning of words, and their relationship to ideas through the lens of different languages. Her artistic practice includes installation, drawing, site-specific actions, printmaking, sound, artist books, and digital printing. Her work is informed by literature, proverbs, traditions, and folk tales, which she seeks to update and contextualize. She holds a master's degree from York University in Toronto and a bachelor's degree from Azad University in Tehran, Iran.
