Pouet! is an energetic show for young audiences that blends music, mime, clowning, and object theater for a playful and interactive experience. This 30-minute concert-theater performance features the duo ék, a trumpet-playing mime and a trombone-playing mime, who communicate solely through sound and gibberish. Through a unique language based on sound and movement, they explore the musical potential of everyday life, transforming mundane gestures—waking up, brushing teeth, exercising—into a magical and unpredictable soundscape.

Repurposed instruments, sound effects, and improvisation make Pouet! an innovative sensory adventure, where music emerges from objects and the body, revealing the wonder hidden in the ordinary. A journey from sound to music!

The presentation of Pouet! will be followed by a workshop (1:45 p.m.): The duo ék, formed by Émilie Fortin and Kalun Leung, invites you to a fun and accessible workshop where everyone can participate, regardless of your musical experience. Specialists in improvised sound mime, ék will take you on a journey through their unique universe that combines creativity, sounds, and movement.

The workshop will begin with a creative warm-up where you will explore the basics of free improvisation through simple and fun games to stimulate your imagination, using mainly your voice and body as percussion, but you can also bring your own instrument if you wish. Next, you will make your own sound objects from simple materials such as balloons and membranes, and finally take part in a mini improvised group performance, showcasing your creations and creativity!

Please note: The event is scheduled to be held outdoors, but will be moved indoors in case of rain. Rain or shine, you should join us!
