Québec musiques parallèles (QMP)

Québec musiques parallèles (QMP) is an initiative of Quatuor Bozzini (Montreal) and Tour de bras (Rimouski), with their partners at CEM — Centre d’expérimentation musicale (Saguenay) and E27 musiques nouvelles (Quebec City).

A gesture of solidarity and an informal association of producers, artists, and broadcasters working on parallel paths, QMP is built around a common desire: to move away from the center, connect regions to Quebec's major urban areas, and offer a new off-site space for broadcasting focused on experimentation and musical collaboration. QMP is a meeting of genres, an explosion of musical niches for a lively audience! At the heart of this ambitious project lies a desire to stimulate curiosity.

QMP is behind the live performance Pouet! by the group Ék, which will take place on Sunday, September 14, at 1 PM at La Filature, 80 Hanson Street.
