Liam Demers (he/him) is a visual artist and author originally from Gatineau (Tenàgàdino), currently studying in Montreal (Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang).

Demers develops a hybrid practice combining performance, video, and sound to construct a microcosm rooted in his own personal mythology. His artistic universe blends queer identity, autofiction, and homage to conceptual practices, all carried by a sharp sense of humor. At first glance, his works adopt a sense of lightness and pleasure through laughter, while concealing a deeper critique. Through this duality, Demers invites reflection on the precariousness and challenges experienced by emerging artists, highlighting the tensions between creativity, economic survival, and institutional recognition.
