François Bouvier and Sebastian Kann are performing artists who have been collaborating since 2018. Their work lies at the intersection of contemporary dance, object theater, conceptual art, and clowning. Vide sanitaire, whose artistic concerns are informed by Bouvier’s studies in art history and Kann’s in psychoanalysis, is their first musical group.

Maude Rioux-Villard is a classically trained instrumentalist and professional musician. They earned a Bachelor’s degree in viola performance in 2020 and a Bachelor’s degree in education last June. Since 2020, they have been performing with Modevile, a shoegaze trio that has just returned from a tour of the Maritimes and will be performing at Pop Montréal this year.
