Simone Provencher is a musician originally from Quebec City, now based in Hull. For the past ten years, she has been involved in a number of experimental music groups, most notably VICTIME and Album.
She also pursues a parallel practice of exploratory music and improvisation, focusing on electronics and sound manipulation. When she's not working away behind an oscilloscope or a homemade synthesizer, she's tinkering with and preparing instruments, playing with bows, mallets and screwdrivers to obtain ambiguous sounds.
